Additionally, Enactus St Andrews was able to catch up with some Enactus sponsors, learn about the driving force behind entrepreneurship, and network with a wide range of investors.

SAVE THE KALE success!
The Surplus Food Project team are setting up a social enterprise which will harness surplus food which would otherwise go to waste, and instead sell it. It will be run by individuals in the local community who would benefit from the increased income.
This week the team harvested some amazing Russian kale from Pittormie Fruit Farm and turned it into crisps/chips, which were sold outside the library in a trial run for the enterprise. The kale otherwise would have gone to waste, 100% of the money made has gone straight back into the project.
It was huge success and the team sold out in only two hours! The response from people was wonderful, thank you to everyone who bought some.

'Tackling food waste: 2 solutions'
A huge shout out to FareShare Scotland and The Real Junk Food Project for inspiring us so much on Tuesday. It was the perfect combination of speakers, with both projects tackling food waste issues in such individual, but equally brilliant ways. Both projects are so holistic - they're not only concerned with redistributing tons of edible food from overflowing bins to hungry mouths. They're also passionate about ensuring that their beneficiaries are socially empowered by the experience, and that the planet is respected.
We're still feeling inspired, and encourage you to check out this short blog post from Adam Smith (founder of The Real Junk Food Project, justly voted one of the 40 most inspirational men of 2014).
